The Gartner research firm has an interesting 615 word article that is subtitled "The personal drone is crossing over the toy boundary to become a serious consumer device".

The article answers three questions which is also poses:

  • What new drone innovations can we expect to see at CES 2016?
  • What are the biggest inhibitors to mass adoption?
  • What factors will lead to mass market adoption?

Apparently the brief article is only a "teaser" for their report Competitive Landscape: Personal Drones, 2015 which you can purchase for $1,295. Note that this report is free if you register with Gartner for an estimated (by Quora) $20,000 to $30,000 for a year's subscription.

Talk might be cheap, but information isn't apparently.
